Episode #187 – Wonder Woman (2017)
Nic Baldwin is back but thankfully, he's joined by his wife, Dani. That means we get to watch a good movie! This time, we're discussing 2017's Wonder Woman, one of the best DC movies ever made. We talk about the importance of the film, how well it captured the character, and how the third act was a bit of a fumble.

Episode #186 – Ranking the DCEU
Now that the DCEU is officially over, how do the individual entries stack up? Justin De Voe makes his debut on the show to go over a decade of DC films, from Man of Steel to Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. We discuss the origins, the evolution from the Snyderverse into something more fractured, and rank each film. And you might be surprised where we landed on some of these.

Episode #182 – The Flash (2023)
Isaac Walker of the Bright Brainz podcast races in to discuss what was called "the best superhero movie since The Dark Knight." And The Flash is many things, but it's definitely not that. We're coming in hot to tear apart DC's latest attempt to capitalize on Flashpoint.

Episode #123 – Peacemaker – Season 1
After a long absence, Adam Lance Garcia returns to the show and this time, we're diving deep into the first season of HBO Max's Peacemaker! We talk about what has set this show apart from others, how COVID limitations actually ended up helping the series, the way the show addresses so many different themes, and we've got a lot of great things to say about James Gunn and John Cena.

Episode #97 – Man of Steel
Regular guest Adam Lance Garcia is back again to discuss a movie that he and Perry used to argue about years ago, and that's Man of Steel. Over time, both of their views have shifted slightly. Listen to see what they think of it almost ten years after its release.

Episode #77 – Shazam!
Big meets superheroes in Shazam!, the subject of this episode's discussion. Perry is joined once again by John Bracich to give a brief discussion of the history of Captain Marvel/Shazam, and how this movie managed to perfectly capture the feeling every kid has of wanting to transform into a superhero.

Episode #68 – The Suicide Squad
The Suicide Squad improved on pretty much every aspect of the original film, but we still found plenty to go back-and-forth on in this episode. Adam Lance Garcia returns to Superhero Cinephiles and he brought Steele Filipek as a date.

Episode #61 – Zack Snyder’s Justice League
No one can replace Derrick, but he would have wanted the show to continue, and so it does. In the first episode of this new format, Perry is joined by author and video producer Adam Lance Garcia and they tackle the Snyder Cut. And in true Superhero Cinephiles fashion, there's plenty of other digressions about Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the DCEU, and much more!

Episode #59 – Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
With the Snyder Cut release upon us, we look back at the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman and find it's still pretty much as terrible as the theatrical cut. From everyone in this movie being a total asshole to the plot holes and the head-scratchingly bizarre portrayal of Lex Luthor, the only real bright spots are Ben Affleck, Jeremy Irons, and Gal Gadot.

Episode #53 – Wonder Woman 1984
Wonder Woman 1984 has debuted on HBO Max and we can't really understand why Patty Jenkins would set this in the 80s and then not really use the era to her advantage. We also have comments about Pedro Pascal's Trumpian Maxwell Lord and critiques about a bunch of choices made in this movie. But it's not all bad—we've got some positive thoughts about the performances, particularly Chris Pine and Kristen Wiig.
