  • Episode #161 – X2 (2003)

This week, Perry welcomes back Oscar Owens and Pat Lagua, his former co-hosts on the now-complete E For Evolution: X-Amining Grant Morrison's X-Men podcast. We discuss perhaps the best of Fox's X-Men films, 2003's X2. How does it hold up twenty years later, what missteps did it make, and more reflections on the Fox films.

  • Episode #117 – Once Upon a Deadpool

Will Short of the Days Past Tooncast returns and this time, Perry's making him watch Once Upon a Deadpool when he knows almost nothing about the character and hasn't even seen the Deadpool or Deadpool 2. We discuss Ryan Reynolds' interactions, the smart way Fox got everyone to pay for the same movie twice, and the great intercuts with Fred Savage.

  • Episode #81 – X-Men: First Class

After the one-two punch of X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Fox's X-Men series got a shot in the arm thanks to Matthew Vaughn's Cold War take on the mutants in X-Men: First Class. Looking back on it, there are some oddities about it amidst a lot of good. Justin and Alicia of The X-Wife Podcast bring their X-knowledge and passion to the show this week.

  • Episode #71 – Dark Phoenix

From best to worst. In the second part of this double-feature, Greg Dunn is back to discuss the last of Fox's main X-Men films—2019's Dark Phoenix. They discuss the issues with the FoX-Men films and why both attempts at adapting The Dark Phoenix Saga were such spectacular failures.

  • Episode #64 – Logan

Perry is joined this week by John Bracich, his former co-host on The Geek Screen, the podcast that was a precursor to this one. This time around, they're discussing Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart's grand finale performances as Wolverine and Professor X in 2017's Logan.

  • Episode #52 – Deadpool 2

In a belated Christmas gift, Derrick picked Deadpool 2 for this week. We talk about why we think this is an improvement on the first film, address the issue of fridging Vanessa, and praise the character interactions. On another note, we also discuss the current controversy over the Punisher's logo. Now when can we get Zazie Beetz in a Domino movie?

  • Episode #48 – The New Mutants

With all the delays and reshoots, Josh Boone's New Mutants may be the most cursed superhero movie to date. But now that it's finally on VOD, we gave it a watch and found it to be better than we expected, though not without its flaws. On the good, there's the cast of young actors (particularly Anya Taylor-Joy) and on the bad, there are some questionable story choices and the baffling decision to use Cecilia Reyes as someone the character never looked or acted like. Plus: why we're over Christopher Nolan.

  • Episode #9 – Deadpool

It's the holiday season, so we decided to spotlight the other guy in the red suit—2016's Deadpool! Get two very different perspectives, one from a fan of the character, and one from someone who never understood the appeal. Also a little rundown on some of Perry and Derrick's thoughts on the most important superhero films of the past year.

  • Episode #5 – X-Men

It’s a giant-sized episode as Perry and Derrick talk about 2000’s X-Men, the movie that launched the superhero revolution! We both defend and deconstruct different parts of this film. Plus: Derrick talks about his problems with the civil rights metaphor for mutants and Perry gives some ideas about how mutants could be introduced into the MCU.
