It’s been a rough few days.
May Derrick rest in peace.
That was a fitting tribute to our friend.
He will be missed.
I hope that you will continue the Superhero Cinephiles podcast.
Derrick wouldn’t want you to stop.

I’m mainly aware of this podcast because of your Batman 89 episode. As someone who wasn’t around to experience the hype surrounding this film, I revisit it just to hear Derrick’s account of the Batmania that summer. There’s a moment in that podcast where Derrick says “I can sit here and talk for 3 hours about that summer”. I came back to this site to request that you guys actually record that “3 hour” podcast just to hear as much as I could about Derrick’s memories of that summer, and that’s when I just saw this horrible news. I’m sorry for your loss. Derrick’s enthusiasm for superhero comics and films is palpable in these episodes. I’m happy that his interest in this subject matter was recorded for others to hear.
